Ahead of the re-release of Chloë March‘s stunning full length Nights Bright Days, the first single lifted from the album has been getting love out there across the interweb. ‘Winter Deep’ just scored a place on the latest Fresh Faves list at BBC’s Tom Robinsons’s Fresh On The Net blog. The track also got song of the day at the Guthoerenistwichtig blog as well as a lovely write up over at The Modern Folk Music of America. Here’s a taste,
“Subtle and understated is a good thing although it often takes a few listens to let the music seep in and reveal itself. Which is exactly what Chloe March‘s Winter Deep does. It got a shimmery timeless quality and is possibly not one for death metal fans on a sugar rush. However, it does sound rather like the perfect accompaniment to a cup of cocoa on a chilly winter’s night.” – Fresh on the Net
