“I discovered Kramies in the very beautiful project Terres Neuves of the photographer Jérôme Sevrette. His new EP, announced for the middle of October, follows in “The European”. We discover six autumnal, foggy and volatile songs (” Upon the Northern Isles “), compositions which place in orbit a precious voice. Guided by the affect when the music makes sacred and stretches (” Sea otter cottage “), always softly in its singing, but strong in the fact that the songs suggests (“The Beginning”) affecting(touching) nothing less that an awakening to the world on ” Clocks were all broken “. Jason Lytle and Todd Tobias lent their ears to this “wooden heart”, cutting in their turn through the bark to suggest the beatings of these veins. The acoustic instruments go out then polished by the electronic effects, the brushed fibers carrying in them a little of this magic for which Kramies, title after title, tries to marry. ”
